The beginning of the third millennium place all inhabitants of our planet facing issues and challenges of a severity rarely known before. The poets gathered at the 1st International Festival of Poets in Paris, believe that the poetic word is committed against these challenges and declare:
The poetic word is love and meeting promotes dialogue between Men and cultures, it is leavened dialog and peace in a world ravaged by war and terrorism.
The poetic word is fraternal, she rebelled against all manifestations of xenophobia and racism that come charging in all latitudesLa poetic speech is freedom and tolerance, she said yes to human rights for all citizens of the planet, she said no to all forms of tyranny, oppression and torture.
The poetic word is fixed, it is opposed to social injustice and various forms of exclusion, it asserts that the rights to food, to educate, to heal and shelter are among the human rights
The poetic word is nourished by the diversity, are no cultures or minority languages is in diversity that is the richness of humanity, every culture, every language in danger, means danger for all humanity.
The poetic word is history and beauty, culture and nature, she was hired even before the birth of writing, construction and defense of the historical heritage of various civilizations.
The poetic word is rain and seed, it is for life, it rises against the environmental degradation, biodiversity, and threats to various ecosystems that constitute common good of humanity through this declaration, the poets present the 1st International Festival of Poets in Paris, show the commitment of poetry and their willingness to develop trade for developing a "Charter of poets for peace and dialogue among peoples" to be presented in September 2008 at the 2nd International Festival of Poets in Paris.

The poetic word is love and finds, encourages dialogue between people and different cultures, is yeast for dialogue and peace in a world devastated by war and terrorism .
