Towards abstraction

We observed the emergence of a form of abstraction in Cezanne with his work on the mountain Sainte Victoire at the end of his life. Four artists will develop independently their own language of abstraction in the second decade of the twentieth century. Between 1910 and 1917, Wassily Kandinsky, Frantisek Kupka , Piet Mondrian, Kasimir Malevich and , all four fed spiritual concerns are the inventors of simultaneous abstraction and a painting will develop in line with their conception of world but also with cultural and scientific developments of their times. "Art is the child of his time" Kandinsky wrote one of the main theorists of abstraction. Music, but also the discoveries in the field of physics, the theory of relativity, work will influence the perception of artistic production and the evolution of art of the twentieth sciècle. Nourish this context the different inflections of abstract art, sometimes lyrical, geometric or supremacist.
